  • Items under the "Image" menu affect the whole photoshop document.
  • Items under the "Layout" menu affect only a specific layer.
  • A photoshop document consist of a series of layers that work together to create one visually cohesive graphic.
  • "Window" contains all the various panels that are currently docked to the right side of your screen and can be helpful if you lose track of one of them. It also allows you to toggle between document windows.
