El Viaje de Ariana is a book written for children with the purpose of introducing them to complex economic concepts such as inflation, the origin and value of money, positive/negative externalities, and even cryptocurrencies!
The story takes place in a technologically advanced society (~2,000 years into the future). The characters and places are often named after programming languages or technical terms: e.g. Ariana's friends are Ruby and JS, the Browser is a highway that connects the different cities.
What I loved about the book is how it brought together the two worlds of technology and economics to create a fascinating techno-utopian society.
My favorite part: When Ariana hops into a "cloudmobile" and tunes to her favorite radio station: "Bits".
