Opening up my computer was pretty easy. It was actually much easier than I expected, especially since I had the right size screwdrivers.
My first discovery upon opening up my computer is that it was DISGUSTING! It was really filthy from 6+ years of taking it everywhere with me and never cleaning it. (That probably made it slower too). So the first thing I did when I opened it was to clean up all the dust with a makeup brush. (This is what the internet recommended was the best and cheapest thing to do.)
Getting to my RAM was very accesible and then taking out the old one took more force than I imagined. They didn't exactly slide out smoothly. Ergo for putting in the new ones. It takes a bit of force to push them back in.
Results:
- My computer booted up in no-time and I can finally open up more than one program/app at a time. :)
