1. Live on purpose, with purpose
- You decide how you're going to be. This is who I want to be. And this is what I got to do to be that person.
2. Be Present
- Untrained --> Trained
When a mind is untrained and the pressure is on, is gonna run to doubting, fearing, being negative... and the best athletes have the ability to put their minds where they want it, when they want it. How do I do that? Take a deep breath, hold it, and release. That's how it feels to be present.
3. Trust the process
3. Trust the process
- Trust that the results will come.
Part of trusting the process is focusing on the things you can control. If you focus on the process, you are going to see the results, even though you're going to have ups and downs.
4. Learn from failures
- Learn from failure = Fear Less.
Failure is an event. It doesn't define who you are. The more you are willing to learn from failure, the less you are gonna fear it. Different mindset: in what did you fail today? How did you fail? instead of: what did you learn today? You learn to not be afraid of failure. Because of our fear to failure, it is holding us back.
5. Look at the bright side
Sometimes we are so negative with ourselves, and we start complaining, and criticizing...It's easy to get negative. There's a lot that can fit in your mind, and whatever goes into your mind you are giving power to. You give power in what you focus on. So you should focus on the bright side of the thing.
Whats is the soldier's key to be happy? And everytime he thinks about is that: it could always be worst.
