How do you look the word challenge? How do you use challenges to make yourself better?
There's a power deep down inside of you that is so impressive. It can help us reach our full potential with complete consistency. But if we tap in this same power incorrectly, it will lead us to failure.
- Judgement
- Emotions
- Perception
How perceptions impact our performance?
What are the elements of success?
- Genetics
- Dedication/ Motivation
- Practice
- Skill
- Physical readiness
- Teamwork
- Confidence
The human flexes back and forth.
Discussing two big issues. The first is mandatory and the second is optional.
1. How we perceive our own capabilities. How we look at ourselves. How we frame it before we go to that performance.
The more realistic your are, the more you're going to empower yourself.
2. Do we really need to understand how the science works? I will say no, but it will be useful, yes.
So you should come with this question:
C or T?
This is all I think about when it comes to perform:
C = Challenge
T = Threat
So when you're under pressure: C or T?
So when I started playing my tennis match I knew I already have won to him and he also won to me. So I said: this is my challenge. I started playing confident and the first point was: winner. I won that first game with love. But then, in the second game, I went back to my old model. WRL = Win Or Lose. My entire self-esteem was wrapped up. I was producing my own negative chemistry.
So I had to went from WRL to C or T. My coach refuses to talk about wins or loses. He talks about execution, the process, and he talks about getting it right. I was proud of myself because I finally was playing to win first, and playing to not lose.
So ask yourself one question when you are under pressure: C or T?
