The benefits of reading for pleasure are far reaching. Aside from the fun of exercising your imagination, evidence indicates reading for pleasure improves your literacy, social skills, health and learning outcomes. It also gives you access to culture and heritage. It empowers you to become an active citizen, who can contribute to economic and social development.

This sounds massive but like any huge project I suggest you break it down into smaller bite size pieces. Over this term I will be posting reading challenges which you may choose from. It is expected that you are to participate as much as your Reading Enrichment classes allow with recognition for those committed to reading outside of our time together.

Book Challenges

INTRO: It is really useful to read with an open mind and a curious attitude. Complete any 4 of these book challenges to expand your reading awareness and achieve this milestone. Add comments for each challenge (min. 25 words).
